Meeting Julie Andrews!!!!

One of the perks of living near NYC is some great opportunities to meet famous people.  When I saw the opportunity to meet Julie Andrews as she came to a book signing at a nearby bookstore - I jumped at the chance!!!!  Addie and I went to meet her at around 8:00 pm in the freezing cold to have her sign her latest Valentines "The Very Fairy Princess"book.  Although no pictures could be taken - we did get a chance to talk to her briefly and she loved Addie's coat and pearl necklace!!!  Addie played "shy" and didn't say a word - but Mommy was excited!  We tried to explain to Addie that we were going to meet Mary Poppins - but she didn't put 2 and 2 together - especially since Julie Andrews is much older now!

Dinosaur Birthday Party!

Harrison is in love with dinosaurs - so he had a dinosaur birthday party!  It was a lot of fun - some friends and family from nearby and our friends Camille & Gray as well as Grace and Vivi.  The kids had fun with the play dinosaurs and Mommy again had fun decorating with dinosaur footprints and dinosaur cupcakes - and the centerpiece ever ROARED!!!!!

What a fun day for Harrison!  Daddy was off work that day - so we spent the whole day together!  Birthday pancakes, a trip to Kidzville, pizza and birthday cake and presents later - wow!  He had a great day!  It was also the first birthday that he understood slightly what was going on !  He was a whiz at blowing out his candle and knew exactly what to do!  Blew it out before the song was finished!
