A birthday to remember...

Nothing like hanging out with my boy on my birthday!

While packing for my trip - lots of snuggles on the bed!!!!!

All dressed up with no place to go!

Headed to Atera!

Ahhhh - this cocktail was sooo much deserved!

Milk Punch!!!

acting cool in the cab!

Our first Dim Sum!

This little girl made it the best birthday ever!!!!
What a messed up birthday that worked out just fine in the end!  BJ's Mom and Dad were set to come in our Thursday night before our big Friday weekend leave to NYC.  Plenty of time, right???  Well, their flight got cancelled Thursday and rescheduled for Friday morning first thing.  Well THAT flight was cancelled and BJ got them to fly in to Philadelphia.  In the meantime I volunteered at Harrison's preschool.  BJ had to drive to Philadelphia in rush hour to get them and then drive back - POURING RAIN!!!!!!  We had to cancel our dinner reservations at Atera and lose a ton of $$.  I  had ordered pizza for BJ's mom and dad and the kids and ended up eating it because I knew I wouldn't be eating anytime soon!!  Addie, bless her heart, had the great idea of using ice cream sandwiches to put a candle in and sing Happy Birthday - which was the best moment of the day!!!  BJ and the folks finally arrived at 7:30 or so and BJ quickly got changed to drive into NYC in the rain to head to our drinks and hotel.  We still ate at Atera and had the best personal cocktail waiter all to ourselves!! Even our hotel room was upgraded because the front desk people felt sorry for us and our sob story!

Kindergarten Orientation!

Ok - I got emotional- really emotional at this!  I teared up a lot!!!!  We went to Walnut Ave Elementary - about 3 blocks away from our house - for Addie's kindergarten registration.  It seems like such a sweet school - only K-2 and Kindergarten is only 1/2 day which I like!!!!!  The parents seem super involved and the principal was very down-to-earth.  I think we will really like our first grade school experience and so happy we are in Cranford!!!!  That being said, this orientation made it too real!!!!

Another beautiful Mother's Day and Anniversary Weekend!

What a special mother's day!  I can't say this enough - but when the kids are old enough to learn a song and make a special craft - that is the BEST present I could ever receive!  This year I was lucky enough to go to Addie AND Harrison's preschool classes for their special mother's day presentations.  Made me cry to see them sing those cute songs!!!!  The day of Mother's Day I planted in our garden and then we ate at the Cranford Hotel and got crepes at Cafe Paris across the street for dinner!  For our 6th Anniversary, BJ and I went to Orange and Olive catering company in Jersey City for a private tasting dinner!  It was a lot of fun and great to just sit next to the kitchen and talk/drink with the chefs!

The craziest Cinco de Mayo with kids....makeovers and margaritas

Look out Broadway!  This kid looks good in makeup!

Let's see....Addie gave Harrison a makeover and made him look vamped out or like a tranny ;)  He loved it!!!!!  And then we sipped margaritas at Red Cadillac in Union and ate chips and salsa while Addie was wearing her "Mexican Dress" purchased in San Diego when she was 3 and had her "pet animal" for the week from preschool.

Outtakes from April 2014

Just getting used to our new house!  Fun in the backyard - we like having a FLAT driveway and far away from the street!  Not sure if I like this kitchen island thing - they are all so close to each other and can't keep their hand off each other in the morning!!!!  Big messes for mommy but they thinks it's quite fun to sit next to each other!

Cousins from the other side of the pond

I love this shot!

Strong hold you have there, Addie

Ben and Michelle were back in the US and we got a chance to hang out and meet their little boy, Cameron!  He was absolutely adorable and everyone had so much fun together.  Caught some great shots and Lennon just looks beautiful!!!!  So nice to catch up with everyone!

Exploring the outdoors and celebrating spring

Here we are checking out a new park at Nomehagen Park near our new house

At Reeves-Reed on Daffodil Day!  Mommy's favorite flower!

I think this was the first time I let the kids get their faces painted!

Heavy Lennon in the carrier!

They love the dinosaur at the new park!
