Started making my own babyfood - pears are the first fruit Addie has tried. Not the reaction I expected!!!

Talking into cups
Continually doing new things...Addie took my plastic cup and started talking into it. She got quite a kick out of hearing her voice change. As usual - not as great once the video camera turned on - but you get the idea :)
Addie's First Wave!
This little girl is amazing! Once she hit 6 months - she's taking off like lightening!! Now she can roll all over the floor and get to anywhere that she needs to (note to self: babyproofing!!!). She also did this little wave a few days ago at the pediatrician's office. It was to another little baby and I thought it was just a coincidence. Then 2 days ago I brought her into the bathroom and she looked at herself and started waving!!!! Then I started waving too and she looked back and forth between our hands and did the most perfect little wave!!! Of course when I got the video camera it wasn't the same - but you will see a little wave at the end. Now she waves to EVERYTHING - the pictures on the wall, the carpet, etc!! Its so cute!! And she also now places her hand on her forehead to do the wave.

Addie is babbling away!
This little girl LOVES to make noises - usually high pitched - but she enjoys hearing the sound of her own voice. She does this funny thing where she runs her hand over her mouth to make funny noises. She also started using consonants such as "mamamama" and "dadadada" - but not to refer to us yet! Here are some videos of her "talking"

Petting Farm
I didn't know what Addie would think of the farm animals - but she loved every minute!!! I have never heard her laugh so much!!! She got quite a kick out of the baby goat and the big horse!! It is so nice to see things through your child's eyes - makes you remember when you were a child and how everything is so new and exciting!
Asheville, NC/Biltmore Estates
BJ and I took a drive on Sunday to Asheville, NC and the Biltmore Estates. We had such a wonderful time! The weather was sunny and about 70 degrees. The Biltmore mansion was beautifully decorated for Christmas, Addie got her picture taken with Santa, and she also had fun at the petting farm! It was a successful roadtrip and Addie was such a good little girl the whole time. It was a nice family day :) (the full slideshow of our trip will be on the right hand side of the blog)
Happy Six Months Addie!!!!
Whew! This time has flown by and my baby is already a 1/2 year old!!! A little sentimental today as I looked back over her pictures since she was born. I didn't realize how little she was when she was a few weeks old!!! It's amazing how much she has changed. She now weighs around 17 1/2 lbs, can sit up on her own, and drinks about 8 oz. of milk at a time!!! She is working on sleeping through the night - but still likes those 3 a.m. feedings every now and then :) She honestly is the happiest baby ever. Her smiles in the morning or after a nap just melt my heart. She also has the cutest hearty chuckle when she thinks something is really funny. She is becoming more interactive with playing and loves to look at books. She is truly a delight. My favorite part of each and every day is holding her and playing with her. Couldn't imagine life without her. She definitely completes our little family :)
Thanksgiving table
This year BJ and I decided to stay put for Thanksgiving - missed our families terribly!!! We invited BJ's co-worker, Jin, and his family over to our home for dinner. I had a lot of fun finally getting to use all of my wedding presents - china, crystal, etc. Here is my beautiful table :) We also had quite a bit of fun making all of the food. BJ was especially proud of his lemon meringue pie!
