BJ was asked to present at a conference at Duke University the few days leading up to Easter. So, in order to avoid being at home by ourselves, we decided to join him. Needless to say - it was much much much different flying with 2 babies - but we still made it home safe and sound. The flight was canceled when we arrived at the airport on Wednesday - so we had to fly at 6:30 a.m. the next day (ROUGH). So Thursday was a wash b/c the kids needed a nap by the time we got to the hotel - so the rest of the day was sleeping and eating. Friday we went to the mall to see the Easter bunny (Addie backed out of sitting on his lap at the last minute), playdate with our birthday friend Henry, and then dinner with his Mommy and Daddy. Saturday was visit to Duke campus and breakfast with Andi, my old co-worker. Headed back to the airport and then had a 2 1/2 hour delay there. But, even though we spent more time in the hotel than outside - it was nice to get over the hurdle of "The first trip with 2 kids" - and hopefully next time will go better. Oh yeah - and one more thing - thank GOD for the Ipad for Addie - watching Toy Story 3 over and over and over again proved to be a lifesaver :)
